The CDT was our second major thruhike. After finishing the PCT in 2018, we loved looking back at our photos, but we realized the few videos we took did an even better job of bringing the trail back to life. On the CDT we decided to do a lot more filming to capture the memories for our future selves. We also had a blast using these videos to share our trail experience with others.
We just finished putting together a 10-minute recap of our entire hike. It is live on our Youtube channel and embedded below.
Putting this video together was a fun way to reminisce about the adventure as 2021 draws to a close. Now it’s time to start planning for 2022 — we have narrowed down the list of potential adventures to undertake and our plans are starting to take shape.
The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) is a 3,000 mile national scenic trail, comparable to the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail. The CDT traverses the desert and Rocky Mountains from the Mexican Border in New Mexico to the Canadian Border in Montana. This is the story of our unforgettable 4.5 month hike.
