We woke up soaking wet because of a lot of condensation last night. Maybe we should have expected that since we slept on a dock… While we dried out our sleeping bags, we had breakfast and lunch at Shelter Cove Resort. After getting on the trail in the afternoon, we hiked to a beautiful lake and set up camp. We saw many South-bounders today. South-Bounders usually start their hikes in early July when the snow in Washington is mostly melted, so now is when we cross paths. We’ll probably continue crossing them for a week or two until we’re through the pack. We made camp early tonight, and we plan to spend half of tomorrow hanging out here. Since we’re a few days ahead of schedule we’re excited to spend some time relaxing on a lake instead of hiking or trying to relax in town. We stayed up late watching the Persieads meteor shower. We saw several meteors before we got cold and called it a night.
