Last night we camped on the top of a ridge with awesome views of Mount Jefferson and Mount Hood. We watched sunrise from camp this morning and were quite happy that we had decided to finish the climb last night. The Ollalie Lake Resort was not far off trail, so we decided to stop at around 11am. Tim, Skyblaze, and I fell into the vortex and stayed for 5 hours while waiting for our friends Pilgrim and Bang who we hadn’t seen in a couple hundred miles. We experienced trail magic from three different parties while we were there including watermelon, beer, and soda and Oreos.
