Skyblazer woke us up at 4am by playing some Kesha. We hiked 10 miles to Timberline Lodge in time for a breakfast buffet. We hiked up close and personal with Mount Hood, but we could barely see the snow-capped peak due to smoke. We’ve had a nice break from the smoke the past couple of weeks, but that sure changed today. Oregon has had lots of resorts close to the trail, which has been fun. We did not go into the two towns in Oregon so far–Ashland and Bend. We hung out fast and loose at Timberline Lodge all day feeling way too tired and full. But we drank beer and wine and played a real person game with our tramily the Dumpster Divers (aka trail family aka the people you hike with for awhile). We made it back out to the trail in time for some really windy camping. #litfam
