PCT Day 112: Mile 2121.3 to 2146.6

August 22nd, 2018

Today was our last day in Oregon! We were excited because we are car camping with Tim’s mom and two of his siblings and their families for a couple of days. It turned out to be a hard day of hiking. We had a big descent down to the Columbia River at essentially sea level, which is the lowest point we’ve been to on the trail. The goal was to hike 25 miles by 5pm before the post office in Cascade Locks closed. We made it with a bit of time to spare, but Tim’s mom had already picked up our packages for us! We stopped at the Ale House for a beer to say goodbye to our tramily. Then we headed to Oxbow Regional Park. My sister and her fiance surprised us by coming too. We had a great time hanging out with family and are looking forward to a few zeroes.
