This morning we descended from 3,000 feet to 900 feet, essentially undoing all of the progress we made since leaving Cascade Locks. There was a nice creek at the bottom where we had lunch and went for a very short, cold swim. Then we climbed back up to 4,000 feet. The climb was hard, but there was a nice view of Mount Adams at the top. Daylight hours have been getting shorter, which minimizes our hiking time a bit.
