PCT Day 140: Mile 2591.4 to 2616.3

September 19th, 2018

We took advantage of the good weather today and hiked a big day. It was a beautiful fall day, and we had lots of awesome views. The season for huckleberries and blueberries seems to have ended unfortunately. The forecast says rain and snow are coming. This afternoon we watched the clouds blow in from the west. We are camped above 6,000 feet tonight. It’s cold up here, so we are sleeping with our water filters in Tim’s sleeping bag to keep them from freezing. Hopefully we won’t get snowed on overnight. Both of Tim’s shoes had big holes in them. He sewed one up during lunch with dental floss. He is working on the other now in the tent.
