Up up up. That’s what we did today. We undid all of the descending from two days ago, and now we’re back in the mountains near 9,000 feet. Today was a hard day, but we made enough progress that we’ll be able to make it to the post office in Big Bear City tomorrow before it closes. We spotted a grizzly bear at the end of the day… In a cage at a private zoo right next to the trail. The zoo houses animals for movies.
