Today was mostly a gradual descent. We started in a conifer forest then made it to a more sparse conifer forest with lots of prickly pear then made it to a shrubby desert with Joshua trees. We hitched a ride to and from Big Bear City to pick up our resupply package and do laundry. No shower since Sunday, but we feel surprisingly clean. 🙂 We made it back out to the trail and are camping with a great desert view tonight. We saw a black widow spider in a web/hole near our tent after dark.
