PCT Day 20: Mile 329.5 to 349

May 22nd, 2018

This morning we hiked ~12 miles to Cajon Pass. A hummingbird tried to drink Tim’s pee. There was a lot of poison oak on the trail. At Cajon Pass we picked up our resupply box. Bad timing because we have to go up ~5,400 feet, and there is no reliable water for 28 miles. We also stopped at Del Taco and McDonald’s for vegan fast food and “cameled” lots of fluids. This evening we hiked ~8 more miles. There was a lot of poodle dog bush on the trail. Tonight we are cowboy camping for the first time (no tent). Hopefully the mice will leave us alone.
