Today we woke up in a cloud. That would have been fine, but since we cowboy camped (no tent) last night, it meant we were soaked. No problem–we stuffed our wet gear in our packs and dried it out later. We knew we’d make slow progress up the HUGE climb today, so we took a lot of breaks and kept our mileage low. When we got above the clouds the view was unbelievable. When we finally got to the top we had dinner, then we walked two more miles and had pudding with trail margharitas that Abby sent us in the mail. Yum!
