We saw our 9th rattlesnake of the trip. We also saw our first deer of the trip – a doe and fawn. We lost the PCT for the first time today. We didn’t realize it until we had gone 1.8 miles and descended ~1,000ft on the wrong trail. Whoops. Adrenaline got us back up to the PCT pretty quick. We hiked to the top of Mt. Baden Powell today as well – 4 miles of switchbacks up to 9,399 ft. Luckily we didn’t have to carry much water because there were two springs near the trail today.
