PCT Day 24: Mile 407.8 to 433.3

May 26th, 2018

Today we walked through a lot of burned areas. We tried our best to avoid all the poodle dog bush, which we’ve heard is worse than poison oak. Poison oak vs. poison ivy? We made it back below the clouds today after a few days above the clouds. We gave Kickstand from Toronto a fist bump as he flew by us. (No handshakes on the PCT – too unsanitary.) Kickstand is trying for a calendar year triple crown – the AT, PCT and CDT back to back to back. We have met a lot of cool people out here. We seem to leap frog with the same folks for 4-5 days, then get ahead or behind them when we get to town and people resupply and take zeros.
