PCT Day 34: Mile 605.6 to 630.8

June 5th, 2018

Another hard, dry, hot day, but the end of the desert is in sight. We even caught a glimpse of Mount Whitney today. There were no reliable water sources on the trail for 42 miles, just two caches and a 3 mile detour to a spring. Luckily both caches had water, so we did not need to do the detour. We saw lots of granite and pine nut trees. The trail was very sandy this afternoon, which was really challenging. Tim got stung by a bee on his finger.
