After a mostly uneventful day of hiking, we found trail angel Coppertone again (we also ran into him 4 days ago) with root beer and treats. Yum! We ended the day by doing half of a big climb with our friend Sean, who just found a bullseye on his shoulder–Lyme disease! Fortunately, he was able to get to a doctor quickly and should be alright. Three other hikers also found bullseye tick marks today and were getting sick. They’re headed to the doctor too. Time for a tick check! Just two more days until we’re out of the desert and into the mountains.
