PCT Day 41: Mile 724.2 to 745.3

June 12th, 2018

We heard a lot of military jets flying overhead today. One came by really loud and it couldn’t have been more than a few hundred feet up. It was scary! We figure one of the bases nearby must be having a training day flying around in the mountains or something like that. There are lots of creeks and springs, which is wonderful, but they’re pretty full of sediment so we have to clean the filters more often than we’d like. We’re camping at 10,495 feet tonight. That’s just 4,000 feet below the peak of Mt. Whitney, which we’ll climb the day after tomorrow. For dinner we’re eating peanut butter mac with Fritos on top. Yum!
