PCT Day 46: Mile 793.5 to 811.7

June 17th, 2018

Today we hiked over Pinchot Pass. We felt refreshed after a short day yesterday. There was some snow on both sides of the pass that slowed us down just a bit. We got our feet and shoes wet on more big stream crossings. We passed a lot of beautiful alpine lakes again today. We ate cold soaked dehydrated refried beans and hash browns for lunch that we found in the hiker box at Kennedy Meadows. Yum.

  1. Please show Mather Pass and both Evolution Creek crossings after Muir Pass when you come to them. Then later after Selden Pass show Bear Creek crossing. It was nice you took some time at Rae Lakes. Most thru hikers don’t even know where they are! But you had been there before. Best way to see the JMT is in pieces, I think.
