Tonight is our 60th night sleeping outside in our sleeping bags (2 nights cowboy camping & 58 nights in our tent). We have not spent a night in a bed yet. We are going to break that accidental streak tomorrow though. Tomorrow our awesome friends Kate and Jen are picking us up near South Lake Tahoe, and we will be spending two nights at their house in Sacramento. We can tell we are getting close to Tahoe. There were lots of day hikers and some road crossings today. We went skinny-dipping and rinsed our clothes in a lake this afternoon in preparation for tomorrow. A helicopter flew by low, so they probably got a nice show. And some fishermen showed up too. Oops.
Might be time for new shoes…
