PCT Day 65: Mile 1118.6 to 1140.9

July 6th, 2018

We enjoyed a long breakfast in the tent before we got to hiking at around 7:15. The terrain was pretty easy today and we were feeling good, so we had time for lots of breaks. We found our friend Flame on the trail for the first time in a few hundred miles and hiked with/near him for much of the day. We accidentally missed filling up water at a creek that was the last water source for 8.3 miles, so that stretch was unpleasant. We set up camp near Squaw Valley Ski resort and have a great view of Lake Tahoe below.
