PCT Day 81: Mile 1458.1 to 1481.9

July 22nd, 2018

We took another long siesta under a foot bridge today. As always, the swimming and sleeping and eating were excellent. On the way there, we were hissed at by a large rattle snake (number 14, but who’s counting?), and I was stung by a bee twice. After siesta it was very hot, but fortunately there was a fair amount of shade on the trail. There was also a lot of poison oak, so hopefully we managed to avoid it. Towards the end of the day we spotted salamanders and a giant slug in a creek. Dinner was spinach and bean ramenera. Yum.
