This morning we saw bear #6 of the trip. It looked right at us as it walked across the trail in front of us. I wonder if we will see more bears or rattlesnakes by the end of the trip (6 vs. 14 at the moment). We picked up our resupply in the town of Castella today. We hitched a ride to and from town rather than walk the 2 miles each way. Thru hikers are surprisingly lazy. If it’s not on the PCT, we’d rather stick out our thumbs and wait for a ride. Thank you Max Kelley for the package! NorCal has been very very hot.
